1st of all, I’d like to greet you all. Happy Eid Mubarak 1432 H. please forgive all mistakes I’ve done…
Last Eid, as usual, I spend the night before Eid at my grandparent’s home with my big family. We were together wondering whether we’re going to celebrate Eid on Tuesday or Wednesday. It Always troubles. Well, not really a trouble, but it definitely rise inconvenience among the society. Anyway, eventually we chose to celebrate it Wednesday, as the government told us to.
Now… About Eid’s outfit. People are tend to wear their newest clothes or buy new ones to celebrate the holy day. Hooded dress and tops are really hype right now, so do kaftans. It’s easy to observe whether fashion is already ‘too common’ or yet. If you can find those clothes around traditional market, it’s confirmed.
At first I was eager to buy one, but recently I think, I need to make my own style. I dress my self to suit my taste, not fashion designers. So I decide to design my own Eid’s outfit. I tailored sheer batik from Bali, it was my auntie’s gift, and actually, it was given to my mom. But I asked her to give it to me, and she did. I want to make outwear instead. So there it goes, a kebaya encim, self designed :) I wear it with my soft dusty pink long skirt which I designed it myself.

I also design a maxi skirt from a fabric I got when I was visiting Lombok. It cost only 35000 IDR which is very cheap for tenun fabric. I was very comfortable yet gorgeous.
